Habitat:

Cyperus scariosus is a highly invasive pestilent, and as such can be found in all tropical, subtropical and temperate regions of the world. In India, it is common in open, disturbed habitats to an elevation of about 1800 m.

Description:

Cyperus scariosus is a perennial slender herb, stem at base nodosely thickened and suddenly constricted into a wiry rhizome, sub solitary, triquetrous at top. Leaves long, often overlapping stem.

Medicinal Uses:

Nagarmotha is a perennial herb that is considered a weed in many areas. However, Ayurvedic practitioners have valued the root of the nut grass plant for its medicinal qualities for many years. Its seeds and rhizome is particularly valued for its oil and this is used in the perfume industry

Nagarmotha roots use  for Diarrhea ,Skin Ailments and Breast Size,Fever ,Menstrual Problems and Conjunctivitis.
